Project Brief: The Grand Theatre (part of Jinan Provincial Capital Cultural Center, Shandong) sits in Jinan West Railway Station Area (along the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway). Its total investment reaches 3 billion RMB.Centered on the Grand Theatre (≈60,000㎡), the Cultural Center includes a library, art museum, mass art museum, and public supporting facilities.
The design of Jinan Cultural Center is intended to reflect Qilu culture and highlight Jinan’s regional characteristics. The Grand Theatre covers a construction area of 70,000 square meters, including an opera house, a concert hall, an experimental theater, and relevant auxiliary facilities.
Jinan Cultural Center consists of the 60,000-square-meter Grand Theatre, a 40,000-square-meter library, a 15,000-square-meter art museum, a 15,000-square-meter mass art museum, and 20,000 square meters of public supporting facilities. Among these components, the Grand Theatre will be equipped with a 1,600-seat opera house, a 1,500-seat concert hall, a 500-seat multi-function hall, and other spaces.

Tower & Podium Lighting Design
This project showcases our Landmark Building Lighting Design expertise: we applied sleek architectural lighting design to accent the towers’ curved facades, using gradient illumination to highlight their modern contours. The podium’s warm floodlighting design balances the towers’ crisp glow, while cohesive outdoor lighting design elevates the plaza’s ambiance. This lighting design merges artistic precision with functional appeal, turning the complex into a striking urban nocturnal landmark.

Dynamic Landmark Lighting Scheme
Our Urban Lighting Planning and Design shines here: we integrated dynamic Landmark Building Lighting Design for the towers (blending color transitions and linear accents) and tailored architectural lighting design for the dome structures (using warm floodlighting design to emphasize their textures). Strategic outdoor lighting design unifies the waterfront and plaza, creating a cohesive, vibrant urban nocturnal scene that balances visual drama with public usability.

Layered Urban Lighting Integration
This scene embodies our Urban Lighting Planning and Design proficiency: bold Landmark Building Lighting Design (vibrant color washes + linear accents) defines the towers’ silhouettes, while architectural lighting design (soft floodlighting design) highlights the domes’ forms. Targeted outdoor lighting design for pathways and greenery enhances accessibility, and the layered lighting design transforms the area into a dynamic, visually cohesive urban landmark—merging artistry with functional urban illumination.
